Our highly acclaimed Training Academy, Gijima situated north of our headquarters in Gauteng ensures that our security officers receive SASSETA-accredited training and induction. This is also provided at our regional training centres, nationally.
In addition, security officers may require training tailored to our customer’s requirements. These may be site-specific or to address extraordinary concerns. Once trained, these deliverables are included in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and become part of the job description.
Our security officers are uniformed and are issued, at minimum, with basic equipment including a communication device. Uniforms are designed to ensure that their PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) identification is always clearly displayed.
Bidvest Protea Coin remunerates our officers in accordance with both PSIRA and the national bargaining council guidelines.
