Cargo Protection services
Bidvest Protea Coin provides a complete solution for the protection of intermodal containers travelling by rail and road. Our internationally patented electronic-enabled locking devices are designed to withstand physical attacks and send active tamper alarms. Through our unique electronic Bluetooth-enabled ONE-TIME-PIN (OTP) management system we are able to reduce the risk of unauthorised locking and unlocking during transit. The locking device is a keyless solution.
The end-to-end management solution includes our patented tracked clamping/de-clamping device. We also provide technical and logistics support with 24/7 monitoring through a centralised control room and armed escorting and response throughout all major centres. Pre- and post-transit reports, with clearly defined chain-of-custody data, are available through an electronic live tracking platform.
